Question by freakishrockstar: What’s a good text generator?
I’m looking for a generator to make text like this here: http://i50.tinypic.com/141tz0h.jpg
I’ve seen that type of graphic all over the place on the internet, and I’d like to make one too. Any websites for that?

It’s called ASCII characters. These are the extended character sets of the Arial font set. Old DOS computers used these characters a lot. If you want to see the shapes available, click START> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Character Map. Go to the Arial font and scroll about ¾ of the way down. You’ll see characters like: ┌ └ ┐ ┘ ┴ ╩ ╦ that can be put together to make shapes like the ones you mention.

I have seen videos on YouTube in which lyrics roll in and then fade away. I want to know the name of the best program(s) that I should use to do this?
I already know how to make subtitles in Windows Movie Maker but that’s too simple. I need something more professional with more text effects so that the whole video could be made up of merely the lyrics.

If you have access to a mac, your best bet is iMovie. It’s really easy to use and you can make some really cool and professional looking stuff.
