Question by mlamezec: Program to make 3d text and logos for after effects import?
Wondering what program would be good to make 3d text for titles and 3d logos that I can import into after effects if at all possible. Cinema 4d? 3d studio Max?

I have used a vector artwork program, Corel Draw!, for 15 years.

Okay, not really, but I did make it look like I used a 3D tracking program. In fact, all I had to use was After Effects and nothing else. I will probably make a tutorial about this, but the idea was taken from Andrew Kramer’s blog to create a 3D camera in After Effects. The particle/evolution/text effects are bad in themselves but are just there to show the 3D effect by showing the parallaxing. I didn’t use a dolly for this – I just put my camera against the edge of a surface with a ruler and slid it along. I tracked it and used the tracking data to make the 3D camera. Hello, I decided to play around with some gameshark code making. I ended up making this rather interesting code. It allows you to skip any and all text very quickly! I created a text generator, so you can make characters say what “you” want them to now! So I added the feature to display normal text by holding ‘L’ or ‘R’ when you begin the conversation (for long convos you may need to hold the button down for the whole convo).
